From the outset eBooks.com focussed on aggregating content from established book publishers, primarily in the English language.
eBooks.com’s production platform is a suite of proprietary software that receives, checks, optimises and encrypts thousands of new ebooks every week on a highly automated basis. The system processes a huge volume of incoming content and hosts a database of 1.2 million unique real books., along with their associated metadata.
Our ebook ingestion system currently imports over 24,000 new titles every month.
Our head office is in Perth, Western Australia, which is about as far away from everywhere as you can get. Perth was dubbed “hipster heaven” in a recent NY Times review and as an aspiring hipster I can only agree. The Economist Intelligence Unit recently ranked Perth the 9th most livable city in the world.
Perth is like a big country town, perched on the eastern rim of the Indian Ocean. Five minutes from our office door there’s a pristine, sun drenched, powder-white beach that stretches a thousand miles. There are hundreds of cool restaurants, bars and cafes, a gorgeous vineyard district, a vibrant artistic life and rich, fascinating ethnic diversity.
